Kvænangsbotn kraftverk

Kvænangsbotn kraftverk er et vannkraftverk i Kvænangen kommune i Troms fylke.

Kraftverket utnytter fallet på 305 meter mellom innsjøen Corrojávrrit og Sørfjorden. Corrojávrrit reguleres mellom 315 og 305 moh. Elven Ábojohka reguleres av kraftverket. Det overføres vann til magasinet fra Småvatna, Lassajavrre og Cårrujavrit kraftverk.

Det er installert en Francisturbin på 44 MW. Midlere årsproduksjon er på 176 GWh.

I 1999 fikk selskapet konsesjon til å overføre vann fra elvene Boullanjåkka, Slædoijåkka og Ålmaijåkka.

Kraftverket er eid av Kvænangen Kraftverk AS som Troms Kraft eier 48,2% av.

Joseph Streiter

Joseph Streiter (* 4. Juli 1804 in Bozen; † 17. Juli 1873 auf dem Ansitz Unterpayrsberg, Bozen) war Bürgermeister von Bozen und Landtagsabgeordneter des Tiroler Landtags. Im Kulturkampf galt er als Exponent der fortschrittlichen Liberalen.

Joseph Streiter stammte aus dem Bozner Patriziat. Seine Eltern waren Bernhard Dominikus Streiter und Louise von Tschiderer. Sein Vater verstarb bereits 1809, sein Onkel Johann Nepomuk von Tschiderer (ab 1835 Fürstbischof von Trient) nahm Einfluss auf seine Erziehung.

Nach einer privaten Erziehung durch Hauslehrer besuchte er zunächst das Franziskanergymnasium in Bozen, dann das Benediktinergymnasium in Meran. Noch vor der Beendigung seines Studiums der Rechtswissenschaften an den Universitäten Innsbruck und Padua (Promotion 1828) heiratete er 1827 die Innsbrucker Arzttochter Johanna Holer. Aus dieser Ehe gingen sechs Kinder hervor.

Da der Zugang zum Anwaltsberuf beschränkt war – nur wenn Kanzleien aufgrund von Krankheit, Tod oder freiwilliger Auflassung frei wurden, konnte man Anwalt werden – musste Streiter zunächst in Cavalese tätig werden, bis in Bozen eine Advokatenstelle frei wurde. Dort wirkte er dann 24 Jahre lang als Rechtsanwalt.

Am 1. Oktober 1837 starb seine Frau im Alter von nur 35 Jahren. 1845 heiratete er seine langjährige Haushälterin Anna von Kapeller. Streiter lebte auf dem von seinem Vater ererbten Weingut, dem Ansitz Unterpayrsberg in Zwölfmalgreien.

1850 bis 1860 war er Vorsteher der Gemeinde Zwölfmalgreien youth football jerseys cheap, ab 1861 Bürgermeister von Bozen. Von 1870 bis 1872 war er Mitglied des Tiroler Landtags metal water bottles safe. Sein Kampf galt seit jeher dem ultramontanen Klerikalismus und der Beschränkung der freien Meinungsäußerung durch die Zensur. Das seine Handschrift tragende Bozner Lichtfest vom 10. November 1861 markierte einen Höhepunkt im Tiroler Kulturkampf.

Streiter betätigte sich auch literarisch und schrieb zahlreiche Gedichte. Das Albert-Stolz-Gemälde Dr. Joseph Streiter und sein Freundeskreis im Keller des Bozner Rathauses zeigt ihn mit Jakob Fallmerayer, Adolf Pichler, Vinzenz Gredler, Franz Defregger, Ignaz Zingerle, Gustav Seelos, Walpurga Schindl und Viktor von Scheffel.

Streiter ist die „Dr.-Streiter-Gasse“ in der Bozner Innenstadt gewidmet, die nördlich der Lauben verläuft. Außerdem trägt eine Siedlung im Oswaldweg, der zu Streiters früherer Gemeinde Zwölfmalgreien gehört, den Namen „Streitergarten“.

All Forney ISD students are required to wear school uniforms, although jeans are sometimes allowed.

The Texas Education Agency specified that the parental guardians of students zoned to a school with uniforms may apply for a waiver to opt out of the uniform policy. Parents must provide legitimate reasons, which are usually religious or philosophical in nature.

Forney High School has opt-out days periodically throughout the course of the year to celebrate special occasions such as home game days.

Jason Moore (racing driver)

Jason Moore (born 10 October 1988 in Bedford, England) is a motor racing driver.

Moore began his karting career in 2000 aged 11 glass water bottle with straw, with a campaign in the Super 1 National Cadet Championship. Moore finished 24th in the championship, with a best finish of 10th coming at Rowrah.

Moore then moved up to the Super 1 National Junior TKM Championship for three seasons. In 2001, he finished in a lowly 25th place in the championship, with his best finish of 15th coming at the final round at Buckmore Park. The 2002 season was far more successful, as he broke into the top ten, eventually finishing in ninth place. A sixth place at Buckmore was his best result of the season. 2003 was his best season, as he ended up runner-up in the championship, just twenty points behind champion Lee Bell. Moore’s season included wins at the first two rounds at Rowrah, and Kimbolton.

Moore stepped up another level to Intercontinental A Junior karts for the 2004 season. He ended up ninth in the championship, with a win at Lydd. Moore continued in the class in 2005, but did not compete in the whole season, pulling out after a troublesome weekend at Clay Pigeon. His best result was 22nd at Three Sisters. His final season of karting produced his only championship win, as he eased to a 21-point winning margin over Micky Higham in the 2006 Super 1 National Formula TKM Extreme Championship, despite only winning one main final at Fulbeck.

Moore moved straight into the 450 bhp Formula Palmer Audi series for the 2007 season. He amassed five podiums in his debut season, including four third-place finishes en route to fifth in the championship. Moore continued his progress in the series, by committing to an Autumn Trophy campaign. He recorded his first podium in an FPA car, with a third during the opening race at Brands Hatch.

Moore claimed six wins, and finished on the podium a further eight times, as he edged out Tom Bradshaw by nine points.
